EgyptAir is the state owned flag carrier of Egypt and one of the oldest airlines in the world, having been established in 1932. Headquartered at Cairo International Airport, it serves as a vital bridge between Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
- Network and 2026 Expansion: The airline currently serves about 80 destinations and is actively expanding its footprint. In May 2026, EgyptAir plans to launch direct flights from Cairo to Los Angeles, followed by a new route to Chicago in June 2026. These additions will complement its existing North American services to New York JFK, Newark, and Toronto.
- Fleet Modernization: EgyptAir is in the midst of a major fleet renewal. It is introducing the Airbus A350-900 as its new flagship aircraft to replace older Boeing 777-300ER jets. Additionally, the airline is receiving 18 new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft throughout 2026 to modernize its narrowbody operations.

- Onboard Experience: EgyptAir is a dry airline, meaning it does not serve alcoholic beverages on any of its flights. It holds a 3-star rating from Skytrax, providing full service meals and inflight entertainment across its international network.
- Brand Identity: The airline’s logo features Horus, the sky deity from ancient Egyptian mythology, depicted as a falcon or a falcon headed man. This symbol has represented the carrier since the early 1970s.
