Mastroberardino came about in 1878 and is ran by the same family that started this winery. Located in Campania and Irpinia, this winery has seen ten generations of great results and great technological advancements. They have a variety of historic grapes like the Aglianico, Fiano, Greco, Falanghina, and the Piedirosso. These grapes date back to the times of the Greek and Roman empires.

2.     Marchesi Di Barolo

Marchesi di Barolo is one of most famed wineries in Italy. This red wine is known for being one of the best qualities of wine that Italy has to offer. Barolo gets its name from where it’s produced. This exquisite red comes from the Langhe area, that is protected by hills. The winery was established in the early 19th century by Marchesi di Barolo family. Five generations later, the Barolo family still owns this gorgeous and prosperous winery.

3.     Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi

This family has devoted 30 generations and 700 years to producing wine. This family winery has been known as one of the best in Tuscany. Their locations are scattered from north to south Tuscany. Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi has five different locations where wine is produced; guests are more than welcome to visit.

4.     Antica Cascina dei Conti di Roero

Historically, Vezza d’Alba has always been a key area for winemaking in Italy. The Roero family who were nobles in their time began cultivating this land in the 18th century. This land was theirs until the current managers, the Olivero family, took over in the 1950s. The ancient winery will show the true beauty of the province of Cuneo.

5.      Redaelli de Zinis

This winery, favors the environmentally friendly techniques, holding a 1,200-square foot area and located on the beautiful Lake Garda. The natural scenery is spectacular. Not only do you have the winery itself but this magical place inhabits peacocks, doves, pheasants and goats! This winery is one out of a story book!

6.     Tenuta di Castelbuono

The Wonderful Winery prize was awarded to Tenuta di Castelbuono because of their unusual architecture. Part of this winery was designed by Arnaldo Pomodoro, one of Italy’s most famous artists. The location of his creation is in Bevagna, in the province of Perugia, in Umbria. This work of his was meant to blend in with the hilly landscape that the winery lives on. This sculpture is the first of its kind. This dome, bronze colored sculpture is the first to be able to be lived in and worked in. This portion of the winery is a must see!

7.     Planeta

Having six different estates is no joke; this winery is spread out between Sambuca di Sicilia and Menfi. Planeta is one of the wineries to keep any tourist at bay. This vineyard has all kinds of grapes, from the not so known Grecanico to the internationally acclaimed Merlot and Cabernet.

8.     Azienda Agricola Valentini

Located in the province of Pescara, in Abruzzo, this winery and farm has been here for centuries, dating back to the 16th century. It has received many awards over the course of its existence because of its high-quality production of wines, olive oil, and vinegar.

9.     Librandi

Also, an environmentally safe winery uses traditional techniques that the wineries predecessors, the Greeks used. Part of this winery is on the beautiful island of Sicily. 10. Azienda Vinicola Contini

Located on the island of Sardinia, this winery was founded in 1898 by Salvatore Contini. This winery possesses 80 hectares of vineyards that come together to produce a high-quality Sardinian wine.
