La Compagnie (legally incorporated as DreamJet SAS) is a French boutique airline that exclusively offers all business class service on transatlantic routes. Founded in 2013 and launching its first flight in 2014, the airline positions itself as a “smart business class” alternative, providing premium service at prices typically 30% to 50% lower than legacy carriers.
Fleet and Operations
- Boutique Fleet: The airline currently operates a small fleet of Airbus A321neo aircraft. A third A321neo is scheduled to join the fleet in September 2026, which will feature a slightly more spacious 68 seat configuration compared to the current 76 seat layout.
- Strategic Hubs: Its primary base is Paris Orly Airport (ORY), with a secondary hub at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).
- Key Routes: La Compagnie provides daily service between Newark and Paris, along with frequent flights between Newark and Milan Malpensa (MXP). It also operates seasonal summer service to Nice Côte d’Azur (NCE).
The Onboard Experience
- All Business Cabin: Every aircraft is configured with a 100% business class cabin. Seats are arranged in a 2-2 configuration and convert into 75 inch long fully lie flat beds.
- Dining and Amenities: Passengers receive a four course gourmet menu curated by renowned French and Italian chefs, paired with organic wines and champagne. In flight amenities include noise canceling headphones, Caudalie skincare products in the amenity kits, and 15.6 inch seatback entertainment screens.
- Connectivity: One of the airline’s standout features is providing free, unlimited high speed Wi-Fi via Viasat to all passengers.
Airport and Loyalty Services
- Priority Access: All tickets include priority check in, fast track security, and access to partner lounges at every destination, such as the Lounge&Co in Newark Terminal B.
- MyCompagnie: The airline’s loyalty program allows frequent flyers to earn points based on their fare type (Promo, Smart, or Flex), which can be redeemed for free flights or extra baggage.
- Independence: La Compagnie does not belong to a major global alliance and does not have codeshare agreements with major U.S. carriers, operating as a standalone boutique operator.
